“I had just kissed an angel.”

Two passages from the book — the Introduction in full, and the chapter where it all began.

While it may seem inexplicable that a young, healthy woman should pass away at only 58, Jacqui's passing was a transition to another realm. Another realm from where she can see and feel all her loved ones and their emotions.

If we look hard, we can see their communications — visions, messages through mediums, whisperings, and signs. We just have to be attentive. Signs are in front of you every day. A feather may fall at your feet, a bird may stare into your eyes, or a cloud may pass by shaped as one of your passed loved ones.

Death, as we call it, is only the end of the physical body; the spirit moves on to the other side of the veil, where it can communicate back to the physical world, if we are open to it. She has expressed that she is happy in her newfound dimension and wants her loved ones in the physical world to be happy too, because when we're sad, so is she.

Isn't that what this thing we call life is all about, happiness and love?

This book is about my connection to Jacqueline after she ascended beyond the veil. It isn't just a story that provides me comfort — though it does that too. Much of it is objective, offering real and, I believe, irrefutable evidence that those who have passed can reconnect with those they love.

Jacqueline and I had never met before. She was chairing a strata meeting for a retirement village I had built at Byron Bay in 2002. She came into the room with one of her colleagues, and I knew instantly that here was a woman who took charge, and she certainly proved that as she conducted the meeting.

She wouldn't accept any interruptions, and the meeting went seamlessly. I was completely taken with her, mesmerised, and felt something strangely familiar about her. She asked me some questions, and I had to pull myself back into the room, so lost was I in watching her.

The next day, I met her outside her workplace and kissed her for the first time — her eyes widened, and she didn't say a word. No words were needed, she just smiled.

I had just kissed an angel.

There's more inside

Fifteen chapters of signs and love.

These two passages are only the beginning. The full book follows Jacqueline's ascension, the messages that followed, and Stephen's reflections on life and death.
